Smartum is merging with Epassi

Employee benefits at your company will gradually transition from Smartum to Epassi throughout 2025 and 2026. On this page, you’ll find information about the progress of the transition and answers to frequently asked questions.

This page will be updated with important information that you, as an employer, will need when your company’s employee benefits are transferred from Smartum to Epassi.

You don’t need to do anything right now. We’ll keep you updated on the details of the benefit transfer.

  • You can continue ordering your next employee benefits from Smartum as usual.
  • The Epassi terms and conditions will automatically take effect once your customer relationship is transferred.

Below, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions about the transfer of customer accounts.

Your company's subscribed benefits will be transferred to Epassi. We will contact you by email two months before your benefits are transferred. You can check the balance of your company at any time on the Billing tab in the Smartum Plus service.

When your company is on a post-billing model, the use of benefits is always invoiced monthly in arrears. Therefore, your company does not have a company-specific prepaid balance that would be transferred. Please see our page for other questions about the transfer of the employee benefits.

The benefits you share are valid and valid as a means of payment until the benefit's expiration date, or if the transfer date comes before this, until the transfer date. The expiration date can be easily seen in the SmartumPay application.

Are you wondering what happens to the benefits when your company's customer service is transferred to Epassi? You can find the answer to this question in the section "What should I tell my employees?"

 

Employees don’t need to worry about the transfer of the customer account. Their information and benefits will be moved to the Epassi system as they are.

When the time comes, there will be a short break in benefit usage during the transfer. We’ll notify your employees in advance once the company’s benefits are about to move, so they can prepare.

Smartum and Epassi employee benefits are used via a mobile app. We do not recommend downloading the Epassi app yet.

Registering too early may cause disruptions in the transfer and use of your benefits.
Please download the Epassi app to your mobile device only after you receive an invitation from Epassi to register as a user.

All Smartum employer accounts and benefits will be transferred to Epassi by the end of 2026 at the latest.

The transfers will take place in phases, and we’ll contact you two months before it’s time for your company to move to Epassi.

All essential customer data will be transferred to Epassi’s system. During the transfer, there will be a short service break in benefit usage. We’ll inform your employees about this in advance.

 

You will hear from us no later than two months before your company’s transfer takes place. At that point, we’ll provide detailed instructions on how to prepare.

About one month before the transfer date, we’ll send you a reminder message.

We’ll keep you updated through email. All essential information will also be collected on this webpage, so you can return here anytime you need more details.

To ensure that your benefits can be transferred from Smartum to Epassi as they are and that the transition goes as smoothly as possible, unfortunately, you won’t be able to make the transfer yourself.

We’ll send you instructions to help you prepare for the transition two months before your company’s account is scheduled to move.

We’ll also inform your employees when the time for the transfer is getting closer.

 

 

Epassi uses a feature called OmaRaha, which allows your employees to pay the full amount of a purchase in one go.

By logging in to the SmartumPlus service, you will find the Terms and Conditions section under Company Management in the left navigation, where you will find the terms and conditions and descriptions.
